This year we celebrate the third anniversary of the Opening of the HANRAD Gallery in Hamilton!

To mark this exciting milestone, we are throwing a Party!

Thursday 20th February: 5pm – 8pm at the HANRAD Gallery

To mark this occasion, we are excited to be exhibiting a body of retro inspired pattern based artworks by Raglan based emerging artist Kayla Bacon.

Artist Bio:

Kayla specialises in laser cut works vibrantly coloured abstract paintings, inspired by the light hearted and funky 1970s pattern design. With her rule-breaking nature, she creates work that is deliberately decorative, pushing the boundaries of what a painting should be. Taking references from the Pattern and Decoration movement, Kayla disregards the dominance of Modernisim by embracing all things feminine, ornamental or craft based.
