Story
HANRAD is commissioned to make a bespoke art rug based on artworks from Miao Xiaochun, a professor at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts. Miao is well known as a photographic artist and digital video artist. He is fascinated by the form of transformation in digital software and digital technology, and has developed it into painting and created algorithmic paintings. However, HANRAD researched his earlier works which are predominantly oil paintings and found a perfect work to transform into a wonderful rug design. This commission has been displayed at several venues around China and has been incorporated into several interior projects and has been well received by the design community.Location: Beijing, China
